| Within the mission area, the Programme Manager (PM) of the MACC reports directly to the DSRSG on policy matters and to the Force Commander (FC) on operational matters. |

| This direct link between the MACC and the senior management staff and Force Headquarters at UNMEE has ensured a timely and highly responsive problem resolution of mine action related issues, which has contributed significantly to the effectiveness of MACC operations. The direct link to the FC has also ensured that additional Project staff has been allocated to the MACC from Force resources as required. |
