Situation
Recently, during a mine sweeping operation by the Pakistani Military, a mine was accidentally activated. The injury received by the soldier was only a sprain in the ankle.

The soldier was wearing a protective boot manufactured by Samad Rubber Works (Pvt) Ltd., SRW 604AMS.

The General Headquarters Pakistan Army commended and appreciated the services rendered by Samad Rubber Works and added that the performance of the Antimine Shoe will add to the morale of the mine sweeping troops.

Recommendation/
Comment
Copy of the letter from General Headquarters available on request.

The Antimine Shoe SRW 604AMS is also being tested by Defence R&D, Suffield, Canada.

Previous performance has been outstanding. Please read "Foot Protection and Pakistani Blast Boot", dated 14/8/2002 by MAIC Administration about the performance of the earlier version of the shoe during the first Gulf war.
