| As with most equipment, breakdowns are unforeseeable. The Mini-Flail has had mechanical difficulties in minefields. Current techiques are to don mine protective boots and enter the minefield to assertain the problem. |

| A solution to entering the minefield is to attach a winch cable to the rear of the Mini-Flail. This can slow operations, however it does eliminate the need for personnel to enter the mined area. |
