Journal of Mine Action
Focus On:
Landmines in the
Asia-Pacific Region
Version 5.1 February 2001
This issue
of the Journal will focus on the countries around the Asia-Pacific Rim,
South Asia, and organizations with activities in regional mine action efforts
in those countries. Countries of particular interest are Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam,
Thailand, Korea, Pakistan, India and China. This issue will cover all aspects
of humanitarian mine action including clearance, survey, mine risk reduction,
victim and survivor assistance and refugee resettlement issues related to landmines.
Success stories and areas of socioeconomic recovery from mines are also highly
sought.
Submission guidelines:
- Articles must be no longer than 3,500 words and submitted in digital format
preferably in Microsoft Word (.doc)
- Images must be scanned at a resolution of 350 dpi and submitted on CD
or Zip Disk. Line art, graphics and charts should be scanned at 600 dpi or
better.
- Original photos and graphics are encouraged and will be returned. Please
DO NOT embed images into documents as the resolution
becomes unusable for print purposes.
