| Mission Statement: |
ATC removes mines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) from both mined areas and former battlefields. ATC also promotes mine awareness education for the people, living near contaminated areas, who are exposed to the greatest risk.
ATC currently operates with 12 Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams. 8 other EOD teams were added during year 2002. In addition to 12 Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams, ATC also has 25 Manual Clearance Teams (MCT) and 10 Mechanical Demining Units (MDU) Our Liaison Office in Pakistan has been shifted from Islamabad to Peshawar. |
