13:00-14:00: Plenary discussion of goals for and organization of working groups sessions – Developing a Framework Plan of Action for fulfilling Colombia’s Humanitarian Demining Goals for the next 3 years: Dennis Barlow (JMU/MAIC)
14:00-17:30: Working Group sessions (with coffee break 15:00-15:30)
Group 1 (Cedro Room): Information requirements for setting priorities and planning operations
Group 2 (Caobos Room, Mezzanine Level): Requirements for command and control of demining operations and providing for security of activities
Both groups also address force development, training needs, and resources needed to conduct operations.

June 11 – Day 3 – Agreeing on a Plan of Action

Post-clearance considerations and a Plan
of Action
Morning:

8:30-10:00 Discussion of Framework Plan of Action and Consensus Points regarding deployment of expanded mine clearance capacity. Consideration of the challenges of post-clearance community development: Discussion led by Pablo Parra (PPAICMA) and Dennis Barlow (MAIC)

10:30-12:00 Presentation of Framework Plan of Action and Workshop Conclusion
- Statements by officials from Colombian government and US Embassy officials: Vice Minister of Defense Sergio Jaramillo and US Ambassador William Brownfield
