The speakers from Argentina began their presentations by promising to focus on projections from the present to the future. Projects in Argentina have been delayed in recent years due to lack of funding. Mine action in Argentina has focused on destruction of stockpiles, and training of personnel. Currently, they are working to modify to the destruction chronology, address transparency measures, and enhance training of specialists. Their new destruction chronology is detailed on slide three of the full presentation. The heaviest concentration of mines remains in Serrezuela, Cordoba.

For each destruction visit, they will receive accreditation before the ministry of foreign affairs 30 days before the date of the visit. The will also make contact with argentine army/navy; plan detailed coordination (aspects of special interest for the visit, exact date of visit, etc.), set up cost transfer, lodging, and nourishment for visits; and procure basic protection equipment. In order to enhance the program, they will be participating in a number of expert and humanitarian demining seminars over the next year and a half.
