Working Group 2b: Exchanging Information
The
Exchanging Information working group was co-chaired by Argentina and Trinidad
and Tobago. A presentation was given about best practices in the provision of information in annual reports required under Article 7 of the Convention and OAS transparency reports.
The second presentation given was about information management and data collection. Lastly, the Legal Advisor to the Regional Delegation for Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) talked to the group about Article 9 obligations.
Concluded working points for this working group were:
- Full ratification of Signatory Countries as well as 100% reporting rates and the initiation and completion of all Article 9 reports
- Information management and field reports should be standardized with
training provided on field reporting information management
