The Workshop Agreement (CWA 15044) Testing and Evaluation of Demining Machines established working standards to be achieved before considering the deployment of a demining machine. Workshop 28 sets out to describe post mechanical clearance processing options. CEN Workshop 28 'Post Mechanical Clearance Requirements', and the linked 'sister' Workshop 29 'Evaluation Methods for Quality Control (Sampling) after Mechanical Demining', follow on from the work carried out to develop CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA) 15044: 2004 for The Test and Evaluation of Demining Machines.

The linked Workshop 29 will examine:

  • Systems for internal and external Quality Assurance (QA) / Quality Control (QC)
  • Systems for management of area coverage and depth control
  • Systems for recording and reporting mechanical performance, and Mitigation strategies to address non-conformity performance of mechanical applications.
