a) Provide Mine Action technical advice to the Ministry of Nation Building and Estate Infrastructure and Development (MNB&EID) throughout the whole of Sri Lanka.
b) Advice and assist in the setting up of a National Mine Action Office (NMAO).
c) The setting up of District Mine Action Offices (DMAO) in Trincomalee and Batticaloa.
d) Technical Advice to the Quality Assurance Programme in Sri Lanka.
e) Assist with the writing of the Sri Lanka National Mine Action Standards.
f) Advise the MNB&EID on accreditation of Mine Action Organisations.
