Skills: UXO TECH 1 Course dates September 14th to October 9th 2009. Completed DoD approved certified UXO tech 1 course at Front Range Training and Consulting. Subjects studied during the 200+hour UXO tech 1 course include;
• Reconnaissance and classification of UXO
• Identifying all types of military munitions, including possible fuses and their condition (armed or unarmed)
• Understanding of ordnance and explosive effects
• Fuse Functioning
• Prepare firing systems, both electric and non-electric, for demolition / demilitarization operations
• Calculating NEW (Net Explosive Weight)
• Disposal procedures
• How to properly store explosive materials
• Ordnance safety precautions and procedures
• 40 hour HAZWOPER course, October 12th to 16th 2009
