Call For Papers
Landmines in Africa
This issue
of
the Journal will focus on landmines in Africa and
organizations with mine action
activities in those countries.
Countries of particular interest are: Angola, Ethiopia,
Somalia, Chad, Mozambique, and Eritrea. We would also welcome
landmine-related articles about other countries in the region
such as Rwanda, Burundi, and Namibia. The issue will cover all
aspects of humanitarian mine action including clearance,
survey, mine risk reduction, victim and survivor assistance,
and refugee/IDP issues. Success stories and areas of
socioeconomic recovery from mines are also sought. We are also
seeking articles for our Special Feature: Research and
Technology: The Road Ahead
Deadline: June 10, 2001
Submission Guidelines:
- Articles must be no longer than 3,000 words and submitted
in digital format (i.e. Microsoft Word .doc).
- Images must be scanned at 300 dpi and submitted on CD or
Zip disk.
- Line art, graphics and charts should be scanned at 600 dpi
or better.
- Original photos and graphics are encouraged and will be
returned.
- Please do not embed images into documents, as the
resolution becomes unusable for printing and online publishing.
- Author's contact info is requested and should include -
phone, e-mail and mailing addresses.
